UDB builds capacity of business community in Lango sub-region

Uganda Development Bank (UDB) has concluded the 3 months Business Incubator Training Program with participants’ graduation ceremony on 31st October 2025.

The 5-day training workshop was conducted in EMBA Hall at Faculty of Management Science, Lira University from 27th to 31st October. The training was on entrepreneurship, investor readiness, and financial management to the Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) in Lango Sub Region.

On behalf of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jasper Ogwal Okeng, the Director Research & Graduate Studies Assoc. Prof. Bernard Omech praised UDB for organising the skills training of the entrepreneurs in the sub-region.

Prof. Omech encouraged entrepreneurs to apply the business skills learnt and practically involve in serious income generating activities.

Among the 34 participants who successfully completed the training, 5 were students from Lira University. These students and the Lira University Incubation Hub were awarded certificates.
