Lira University is the youngest top 3rd research university in Uganda, according to the Re$earch Infosource Uganda’s Top 50 Research Universities rankings.
LU’s $588.5M in sponsored research income (2023-24) boosted the institution back into the number 3rd spot for the first time since 2010.
