Facilities and Infrastructure While the University continues to develop its sports infrastructure, current facilities include: Football Pitch: A well-maintained field used for training and competitive matches. Multipurpose Courts: Spaces designated for netball, volleyball, and basketball. Open Grounds: Areas allocated for athletics and traditional games. The University has plans to further enhance its sports facilities, aiming to provide students with state-of-the-art equipment and venues. Inter-University Competitions Lira University actively participates in inter-university sports competitions, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among Institutions. These events provide students with opportunities to travel, interact with peers from different backgrounds, and gain exposure to higher levels of competition. Health and Wellness The University strongly encourages students and staff to participate in regular physical activities as part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Staff fitness programs include the healthy Wednesday fitness program for all staff members, which includes aerobics and walking around campus every Wednesday of the week. This structure empowers students to take on leadership roles, organize tournaments, and advocate for sports development within the university.
