Oversight and Coordination of Graduate Programs The Directorate provides overall leadership and coordination for all postgraduate programs (Masters, Postgraduate Diplomas, and PhDs). It ensures programs are well-structured, academically sound, and aligned with national higher education standards. 2. Policy Development and Implementation The Directorate formulates policies, guidelines, and regulations that govern graduate education and research. This includes admission policies, supervision guidelines, thesis examination procedures, and academic integrity standards. 3. Quality Assurance in Graduate Training DGSR monitors and evaluates the quality of teaching, supervision, and research output in graduate programs. It works closely with faculties and quality assurance units to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory bodies like NCHE. 4. Coordination of Research Activities and Projects The Directorate promotes research across the university by supporting proposal development, coordinating research funding opportunities, and overseeing institutional research projects. It may also facilitate collaboration with external research partners. 5. Administration of Graduate Admissions and Records DGSR manages the entire graduate student lifecycle from admission processing, registration, and progress tracking to thesis submission and graduation clearance.
